Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, through its Centre for Law and Indigenous People, in collaboration with the Centre for Constitutional Law and Federalism under the CG Learn Programme, organised a one-day workshop on "Auditing Access to Justice for Indigenous Communities: Measuring Inclusion, Accountability, and Transformative Justice" on August 8. The workshop brought together members of the judiciary, academia, legal practitioners, researchers, civil society organisations and students to deliberate on constitutional governance, indigenous rights, community participation, ecological justice and access to justice. He proposed initiatives including Community Justice Fellows, AI-based translation of legal notices into indigenous languages, Legal Health Clinics, Mobile Constitutional Caravans and Indigenous Wisdom Councils. The workshop was designed by Dr. Ayan Hazra, Head of the Centre for Law and Indigenous People. A major highlight of the programme was the release of the inaugural issue of Aaranyaka, a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to scholarship on law, indigenous communities, constitutional governance, ecology and transformative justice.
