The Poppleton Village Show is set to take place again this year, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1839. The event will be held at Upper Poppleton Green on August 15, from 12.30pm to 4pm. The show will feature a range of entry classes, including flowers, fruit, vegetables, floral art, handicrafts, baking, first-timers, and children under thirteen. On the day, attendees can purchase Village Show raffle tickets, with a top prize of two adult flights with Jet2 to any of their destinations. The Poppleton Village Show is rooted in a rich history, starting with the Ancient Free Garden Society, which was formed in 1839.
