Emergency services were called to the incident on the A59 Liverpool Road in Rufford at 2.49 pm on Saturday, August 8. Lancashire Police said a Lexus LBX was travelling south along Liverpool Road and had begun turning left into Rufford Old Hall when it collided with a wall. The front-seat passenger, a woman in her 80s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: "The front seat passenger, a woman in her 80s, suffered serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 80s, suffered less serious injuries.
