Self-storage facility planned for major former Brierfield mill development

If approved, the unit would be divided into self-storage spaces for use by small businesses and householders.
A planning statement said: “The proposal only includes external alterations to the two existing windows which are to be amended into a personnel door and loading door.
"To allow access to the loading door, amendments and relocation of existing parking spaces is required.
Internal alterations include introducing a mezzanine floor and for all levels to be filled with small storage unit pods, which would have a minimal impact on the existing building.
A storage platform lift would be installed by the access door, with staircases at either end of the space for access and fire escape purposes.
