Forecasters have also warned of further dry weather and another heatwave, with temperatures potentially reaching the mid-30s in some areas. Although the North East and Yorkshire have not yet been declared in drought, around 71.3 per cent of England is now experiencing drought conditions, covering about 45 million people.
