The plans include four one-bedroom flats and one two-bedroom flat, with one apartment on the ground floor and the remaining four within the roof space. The applicant says the redevelopment would significantly reduce the number of people using the building compared with its currently approved use. The application follows pre-application discussions with East Lothian Council last year. Planning officers stressed that the pre-application advice represented officer opinion only and was given without prejudice to any future decision on a formal planning application.
