The event was co-hosted by Saint Mary's Chambers and Rawtenstall Market and gave local musicians a chance to play in front of a large crowd. The line-up featured local bands The Light Show, The Staags, Sad Sells, Mission Nowhere, Bloodshot Moon, Hitch Hikers, and Riverside. Emma Ljevar, who was part of the event organising team, commented on the importance of promoting grassroots music. "Band Fest allowed these bands to showcase themselves to hundreds of people who may never have come across their music otherwise." With the huge success for the small venue, the team at Saint Mary's Chambers say they don't want it to be the last Band Fest.
