A new national filmmaking competition, "Dear Future Self," has been launched by the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA), inviting young people in Worcester aged 18 and under to create short films for a national contest. The films should be addressed to their future selves, imagining a message they would want to remember in 10 years’ time. Nick Pilton, head of film and television at PQA, said: "Dear Future Self is all about encouraging young people to reflect on who they are and what is important to them." The competition is open to all young people aged 18 and under across the UK. There will be two overall winners—one aged under 12 and one aged 12 and over—each receiving a £150 voucher of their choice.
