Investing.com -- Hospitality software firm Mews has been granted an Electronic Money Institution license by De Nederlandsche Bank, allowing it to hold hotel funds directly rather than routing them through third-party providers, Investing.com has learned.
The license was issued to Mews Financial Services B.V., a regulated entity established by the Amsterdam-based company.
The license means Mews now has regulated status across the European Economic Area and clears the way for the firm to run payment services on its own infrastructure.
"Once products built on this infrastructure are live, those funds will be insulated from claims by Mews FS creditors," Sandler commented.
