According to police, the two were arrested in connection with an alleged robbery involving a Tecno Pop 8 mobile phone and K14,000 in cash. Police say the suspects were arrested the following day while allegedly attempting to sell the stolen mobile phone at a location within Kasungu. Mhango and Kadango had previously been serving prison sentences before they were released following a presidential pardon granted to selected inmates as part of Independence Day celebrations. The two are currently in police custody and are expected to face charges in connection with the alleged robbery.
