Higher Penderleath Campsite, near St Ives, posted CCTV footage and a statement on social media accusing a couple of causing "extensive — and very expensive — damage" to its security barrier at about 1.30am. In its statement, the campsite said: "For clarity, the reason for needing to leave was to collect their children from Boardmasters. "Instead, we have CCTV showing exactly what happened, which we will be sharing below so there can be no confusion about how the damage occurred." "We understood we could get out of our campsite at 11pm, we knew we couldn’t get back into it, I understood that. Higher Penderleath said police were contacted at the time and that officers were told the situation was "not an emergency".
