Hedge End Town Council confirmed the closure as maintenance work is arranged to repair the damage. A spokesperson for the council said: "The paddling pool is closed until further notice as the surface has developed a large hole. The closure means visitors will be unable to use the paddling pool while the repair work is carried out. Paddling pools and splash pads can be particularly popular during warmer weather, providing children with a place to cool off and play in shallow water. Visitors are being advised to stay away from the pool until further notice while repairs are carried out.
