“Do Not Be Afraid, Little Flock” “Do Not Be Afraid, Little Flock”Looking Ahead to the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2027The resources for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2027 have now been published, giving churches across Norfolk and Waveney an early opportunity to begin planning for next January. The theme for 2027 comes from Jesus’ words in St Luke’s Gospel:“Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). They also have something important to say about Christian unity. Prayer for Christian unity should not be something we take out each January and put away again on the 26th. In a time where Christians can sometimes feel increasingly like a little flock, our response need not be fear or retreat.
