More than £30,000 worth of bikes and power tools have been stolen in the Borders. A Santa Cruz Megatower CS mountain bike and a Trek Rail 7 E-bike worth around £10,000 were taken, along with vehicle keys, from a shed in the Horsburgh Street area between 3pm on Tuesday and Saturday. A Trek Remedy 8 mountain bike worth £2,000 was stolen from a shed between 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Milwakee power tools, various other tools, a Sihl petrol strimmer, a chainsaw and various batteries and chargers worth a total of £5,240 were also taken from a shed in the Princes Street area. Detective Constable Michael Keean said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible for these break-ins and to find the items stolen.
