A Cologne mother is facing criminal charges for letting her 15-year-old daughter drive before a crash in Rockford that killed a woman and badly hurt her wife. Deputies were called to the 6200 block of Ash Street, where they found a gold Chrysler Town and Country van against the house, according to the complaint. Breton told deputies her daughter had turned 15 the day before and this was the first time she had driven a car, the complaint says. Breton also told investigators the crash was her fault because she told her daughter to drive.
