Dorset Police received a report at 9.43pm on Sunday, August 9, of a fight at the Co-op in Castle Lane West. The two men were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be serious. A police spokesperson said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident.” The store was closed on Monday while police carried out an investigation into the incident. A 39-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault, affray, a public order offence and assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty.
