John Miller, 30, of Mayflower Street, Blackburn, appeared at Preston Crown Court after admitting one count of sending malicious communications.
The court heard Miller and the woman had been in a relationship for around three months before it ended in April 2025.
Over the following four days he repeatedly contacted her from private and withheld numbers, making more than 140 calls and leaving threatening voicemails.
The victim later told the court in a personal statement that she felt "broken" by the ordeal.
She said he had reflected on his behaviour, understood it was wrong and had never previously appeared before a court.
