The University of Maine erupted for a 34-point first-half lead and rolled to a 34-14 Colonial Athletic Association victory over Bryant on Saturday in Smithfield, Rhode Island. A 40-yard punt return from Woods set Maine up at the Bryant 20, and two plays later Trevin Ewing’s 15-yard rush pushed Maine’s lead to 17-0. Bridgewater’s 23-yard scoring run pushed the score to 34-0 before UNE got on the board with a 6-yard rush from Nathan Delgado, but a failed 2-point attempt kept it at 34-6. Hanry Machnik’s 14-yard reception from Johansen on the first play of the second quarter pushed the lead to 14-0. Michael Wolfendale connected with Ty Connolly for a 21-yard touchdown, then Nolan Wilbricht hauled in a 4-yard scoring pass from Peter Macauley.
