Ribble Valley Council approved plans for the former post office at The Square, allowing part of the ground floor to change from retail use to residential use. Waddington Post Office (Image: Google Maps)The three-storey property is Grade-II listed and lies within the Waddington Conservation Area. Part of the ground floor was previously used as a post office and village shop, while the remainder of the building was already in residential use. Planning documents state that the proposal will allow the former commercial area to be incorporated into the existing home, creating a single residential property. Documents submitted in support of the latest application said the retail unit had been marketed for more than 12 months through commercial property websites, email campaigns and on-site advertising.
