Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) confirmed the blaze was one of several wildfires reported across the region, with crews recently called to the New Forest area earlier this week.
He urged the public to remain cautious during the ongoing dry weather.
Mr House said: "With no sign of rain in the coming days, and another heatwave due, we all need to remain cautious to reduce the risk of fire."
The fire service is advising people to avoid barbecues, campfires, and open flames in high-risk areas, and to properly dispose of cigarettes.
They also reminded the public to report any countryside fires by calling 999 immediately and asking for the police.
