Man ordered to pay assault victim £2,000 after leaving him unconscious in the street

Nathan Hill attacked Angus Kennedy by pushing the man to the body and punching him to the head during the attack on the Capital’s Rose Street on April 17 last year.
Hill, of Riverside Drive, Haddington, was acting along with another person currently unknown, and the assault was said to have rendered Mr Kennedy unconscious and was to his severe injury.
Sheriff Matt Jackson KC sentenced Hill to a community payback order where he will be supervised by the social work department for 12 months.
Hill will also have to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and will have to remain within his home address between 8pm and 6am each night for four months.
He was also sentenced to a compensation order and will have to pay Mr Kennedy a total of £2,000.
