Over in China, Nissan recently unveiled the NX7, its latest plug-in hybrid crossover produced from its joint venture with Dongfeng. With the same powertain type to boot, it’s clear that Nissan is billing the NX7 to compete in the plug-in compact crossover segment. Under the hood, the Nissan NX7 is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder paired with a single electric motor good for 228hp. A combined combustion and electric range wasn’t listed, but it likely covers over 1,000km, as with other PHEV crossovers.
