Michael Cranwell, of May Close, Holbury, has been remanded in custody. Police were called shortly after 8pm on Sunday following reports that a fire had spread from a hedge to vehicles and residential properties in Rollestone Road. Cranwell has been charged in connection with the incident and will appear before magistrates. The blaze destroyed both the bungalow properties on Rollestone Road and a fund raiser has been launched to support those who have lost their homes and belongings. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
