Standard Bank Malawi has announced a MK100 million sponsorship for the 2026 National Youth Summit, scheduled for 18–20 August at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe. The commitment underscores the bank’s broader strategy of supporting skills development and entrepreneurship among young Malawians. NYCOM chief executive Rhoda Gadama Misomali welcomed the support, urging other private‑sector actors to adopt a similar long‑term view of youth development. She argued that coordinated investment is essential if Malawi is to expand opportunities for its growing youth population. Organisers say the gathering will focus on practical pathways for strengthening human capital and improving youth participation in the economy.
