As Robertson left the residence in a vehicle on Monday morning, police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop. Once back at the residence, police said Robertson aimed and discharged fireworks toward law enforcement officers and a marked patrol car. Shortly after 7 a.m., police activated a shelter in place alert via cellphone notifications to residents in and around Denbow Road. Police said Robertson continued discharging fireworks toward police, at one point nearly striking an officer with a large, shell style firework. Around 8 a.m., Robertson came out of the residence and walked toward police officers, who deployed several PepperBall rounds, striking Robertson.
