A flight from British Colombia to Toronto was canceled last week after a young child refused to sit down and buckle up before take off, forcing the plane back to the terminal and delaying it past the airport’s runway closure. Porter Airlines flight PD444 was taxiing toward the runway on Thursday evening when a flight attendant noticed a child standing in their seat and refusing to "secure their seatbelt," the Toronto-based airline said Sunday. Porter said removing the parent and child and their baggage delayed the flight on Thursday past the airport's 12:30 a.m. runway closure, forcing the remaining passengers to disembark. Porter apologized to the other passengers, who were rebooked on a flight the following day.
