Ex-Test Valley mayor, councillor Gordon Bailey visited the Plaza in Romsey to gift Greenbuttercup Dementia Services £1,238.93. This amount was raised during his year-long tenure as mayor in 2025/26 and will now help subsidise activities and transportation costs for dementia patients. Greenbuttercup Dementia Services is one of four organisations that benefitted from the fundraising efforts of Mr Bailey and mayoress Karen Hamilton. The charity is run by volunteers and offers regular activity groups for dementia patients and their carers. It will also be present at DemFest on Sunday, September 13, from 10am to 4pm at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.
