Slippery Rock, PA - R. Lynn Steinhoff, 87, of Slippery Rock, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital. Lynn was born in Cambridge Springs, PA, on October 19, 1938, to Thomas Samuel Steinhoff and Dessie Meredith Chapin Steinhoff. He later made his way to the Tampa Bay area, where he became a Volkswagen mechanic and then sold vacuum cleaners door-to-door before transitioning into the life insurance business. Lynn is survived by his wife, Charlotte Steinhoff, of Slippery Rock; his son, Dr. Lew Steinhoff (Karen), of Fresno, CA; his son, Jeff Steinhoff (Patti) of Bristow, VA; and his daughter, Cindy Steinhoff Mitchell (Keith) of Strasburg, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Lewis Steinhoff Jr. (Ali) of Rohrersville, MD; Kaitlyn Tolley (Alex) of Strasburg, VA; Shelby Mitchell, of Strasburg, VA; and Sam Steinhoff, of Fresno, CA.
