PLANS to build nine new homes in Alvechurch have been refused. Bromsgrove District Council has refused St Phillips Land’s bid to build on land south of Callow Hill Road. Planning chiefs also knocked back the bid due to its isolated location outside the village boundary of Alvechurch. The application site was 0.9 hectares and is bounded by Callow Hill Road and the West Midlands Railway line to the west. Callow Hill Road is to the northwest of Alvechurch and extends towards the M42.
