ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque High starts its 2026 football season after a 5 to 5 year, and players say they want to end a playoff drought that has lasted more than two decades. The team faces what coaches describe as a tough schedule in a tough district. Experience on both sides of the ball will be important for Albuquerque High this season. “You got to be in the fight, to have a chance to win the fight,” said Head Coach Desmond Anaya.
