Georgia man charged with threatening to kill husband of former Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard

A Georgia man was charged by criminal complaint with allegedly sending an interstate communication containing a threat to kill the husband of Tulsi Gabbard, the former Director of National Intelligence.
Nolan Ezra Goldklang, 23, of Sandy Springs, Georgia was charged on Aug. 5, 2026.
He was arrested on Aug. 7, 2026 on Oʻahu, and had his initial appearance on Aug. 10, 2026, in the District of Hawaiʻi.
His family believed Goldklang may have traveled from the mainland to Hawaiʻi to meet with Gabbard, according to the department.
In the case of conviction, any sentence would be imposed by a United States District Judge based on the statutory sentencing factors and the advisory United States Sentencing Guidelines.
