Art d’Ecco will release new album ‘Scheele’s Green’ on October 23rd. The Vancouver artist has completed work on their new album, and the title is taken from an actual colour – albeit one with disturbing consequences. The real-life ‘Scheele’s Green’ was first synthesized by Carl Wilhelm Scheele in 1775, and it quickly became a fad for the rich. Out on October 23rd, Art d’Ecco uses this as a broader metaphor for our societal malaise. We want these things that make us look hot and give us status but it’s all a mirage.
