A woman identified as Mrs Sarah Innocent has been arrested by the police following the death of her husband after an alleged domestic dispute in Ohuru Ishimiri village, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State. The tragic incident reportedly happened on Saturday night, just months after the couple got married in December 2025. According to family members of the deceased, the marriage was only about eight months old when the incident occurred. The police confirmed the development on Monday evening, saying the matter was reported at the Ohuru Ishimiri Police Divisional Headquarters on August 9, 2026. According to the Abia State Police spokesperson, DSP Maureen Chinaka, the woman allegedly stabbed her husband in the chest with a kitchen knife during an argument at home.
