The affected university branches have been directed to issue their respective authorities a 14-day ultimatum to address their outstanding demands.
The universities affected include Nasarawa State University, Keffi; Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai; University of Medical Sciences, Ondo; Gombe State University; Plateau State University; Adekunle Ajasin University; Adeyemi Federal University of Education; Abia State University; Imo State University; Niger Delta University; and Taraba State University.
Piwuna directed the affected branches to commence strike action once their 14-day ultimatums expire, provided their demands have not been satisfactorily addressed.
Meanwhile, students at Nasarawa State University and Imo State University are already experiencing the impact of the dispute, as the ASUU chapters in both institutions have commenced indefinite strikes over unresolved demands.
