Cyclosporiasis-linked Taylor Farms recalls jalapeños tied to Salmonella outbreak

On Sunday Taylor Farms said the recall was initiated after receiving notice that Coast Citrus Distributors, which supplies Taylor Farms with jalapeños, had issued its own recall.
Taylor Farms said it was no longer getting products from that farmer and had turned to alternative suppliers.
It’s been a summer marked by outbreaks of foodborne illnesses, and Taylor Farms has been implicated in the two most notable ones.
(Both deaths and more than 6,000 cases have been linked to iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms.)
But they are different: Salmonella infection is a bacterial illness and, in some cases, can be treated with antibiotics.
