Flintshire County Council has launched a 12-week consultation on its updated Active Travel Network Map (ATNM) to gather views on how best to improve walking, wheeling, and cycling infrastructure across the county. "We want to hear from as many people as possible during this consultation to ensure the Active Travel Network Map reflects local priorities and helps us plan for a more sustainable for Flintshire." The Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 requires all Welsh local authorities to regularly review and improve their active travel networks. Existing routes are those that already meet Welsh Government standards for walking, wheeling, or cycling, while future routes are either new proposals or existing paths that need upgrades to meet these standards. Full details of proposed routes, event dates, and the survey are available on the Flintshire County Council website.
