WARANGAL: MULUGU District Collector Borkhade Hemant Sahadevarao has cautioned officials and the public to remain alert as heavy rains are expected in the district over the next three days.
On Wednesday, the Collector inspected the condition of the diversion road near the bridge under construction across the Isukavagu stream between Chikupalli and Peddagollagudem villages in Vajedu mandal.
The temporary diversion road was damaged following heavy rains on Tuesday night, which led to a surge in floodwaters in the Isukavagu.
Reviewing the situation, the Collector directed officials to take urgent measures to restore the alternative road and resume traffic as soon as the flood flow subsides.
Officials said that due to the high flood intensity, canals are being dug on both sides of the diversion road to divert water and prevent damage to pipelines.
