Tickers Barbers is a Garden Lane institution, having first opened its doors in 1986.
Its founder, David Burke, had cut hair in Handbridge and Flint before opening his first shop, which used his nickname 'Ticker', in Garden Lane.
His daughter, Emma Airlie, started at the shop as a teenager 26 years ago and eventually took over the business from her father in 2011.
“When Michelle started, it was good to have another girl here, I thought ‘I’ve got bit of back up’.
“We’re not just here to cut hair, we have a laugh, we’re social workers solving problems, people will just come in for a chat.
