Priorswood Community Centre is now an official access point for the England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT), known as Stop Loan Sharks. Staff and volunteers at the centre have received training to help individuals safely contact the Stop Loan Sharks team by phone, email, or through live chat. They will also offer a safe environment, access to the Stop Loan Sharks website, and emotional support. Loan sharks often operate within close-knit communities, introducing themselves through friends or family and offering unregulated loans without paperwork.
