Of all the Greek island groups, the Cyclades are what people picture when they think of Greece. They’re the most visited, the most written about, and, thanks to a ferry network fanning out from Athens, among the most accessible. Tinos, a 15-minute ferry from Mykonos, has earned something harder to pin down: best all-around. The Cyclades are famously windy, so on the days when the meltemi winds turn the sea rough and complicate the beach day, the villages of Tinos still offer plenty to do.
