Jaysley Beck's family says military complaints reform still not delivered

The family said: “It is now 18 months since Jaysley's inquest, yet the promised independent tri-service complaints unit is still not operational.
They said the cases involved allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment and other serious misconduct.
“They involve serving personnel reporting serious sexual assaults, sexual harassment and other unacceptable behaviour who have already been badly let down by the system.
The family added that the military had accepted change was needed and had publicly committed to delivering reform.
In March 2025, the Ministry of Defence announced plans for a specialist tri-service complaints team to deal with the most serious complaints across the Armed Forces, describing the move as a "fundamental" reform of the complaints system.
