(ABC 6 News) — The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report on the plane in Winona County on July 9. The crash left 62-year-old Glenn Edward Jackson of Byron, with minor injuries. Related: Pilot identified after being injured in Winona County plane crashAccording to the report, Jackson was testing part of the plane, and while in the air, the engine lost power, according to the NTSB. Jackson attempted to get the power back on, but was unsuccessful, and had to crash land. Jackson landed in a culvert in Utica, and was able to get out of the aircraft safely.
