Michelle “Shelly” Oswald, 51, has had a Klaxon Klick Scrambler fitted to her manual wheelchair for three weeks after hundreds of supporters rallied behind her GoFundMe.
The £4,950 piece of equipment lets her explore the outdoors and enjoy activities she once thought impossible.
Michelle is now able to attend her three favourite festivals – Mucky Weekender, Boomtown and Shindig – without worrying about her wheelchair or access restrictions.
The festival later became a finalist for best accessibility and improvement initiative at the National Outdoor Festival Awards.
This year, it is adding more disability access measures, including Iron Runners – heavy-duty ground-protection mats for wheelchair users.
