A shed was also broken into in the Horsburgh Street area with a white Trek Remedy 8 mountain bike worth £2,000 being stolen. Between 6pm on Friday, August 7 and 10am on Saturday, August 8, Milwaukee power tools, various other tools, a Sihl petrol strimmer, a chainsaw and various batteries and chargers worth a total of £5,240 were taken from a shed in the Princes Street area. Officers are keeping an open mind about the incidents being linked and are advising the public to be vigilant in the town. Detective Constable Michael Keean said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible for these break-ins and to find the items stolen.
