A planning application has been submitted to create six overnight parking bays for motorhomes at Mill Street Car Park as part of a Denbighshire County Council pilot scheme aimed at tackling unauthorised overnight stays across the county.
The proposal would see six dedicated motorhome bays, a fresh water supply point, chemical waste disposal facilities, grey water drainage, recycling bins and visitor information signage installed at the town centre car park.
If approved, the scheme would see 29 existing car parking spaces lost to accomodate the motorhome bays.
The scheme forms part of Denbighshire's proposed Motorhome Aires project, modelled on similar initiatives introduced by Gwynedd Council.
The proposed bays would be marked out within the existing hard-surfaced car park, with yellow cross-hatching used to maintain the required six-metre spacing between motorhomes.
