Romsey Town councillors unanimously objected to a premises licence application for the former Hampshire Mobility Services site at 1 and 2 Abbey Walk, Church Street. The application, submitted on July 22, requests permission to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises daily from 6am to midnight. Councillors expressed concern that the hours could signal the arrival of a mini-mart or convenience store operating from early morning until late at night. Public notice in the window of the shop seeking a premises licence. Public comments on the licence application can be submitted until August 20.
