Brumfield noted that in 2025, Christian County’s property value stood north of $5.8 billion, thus creating a CCHD base of about $1.85 million. In 2026, Brumfield confirmed Christian County’s property value slightly exceeded $5.9 billion, so staying at the same rate only generated $1.9 million, or about about $45,000 extra. Board member Charles Turner agreed with the move, as well.
