Johnston’s of Grange, in Grange-over-Sands, sold out of the trading cards in just six minutes on Friday morning as avid fans queued from the early hours. They have been selling the Pokémon Trading Cards at their shop for the past five years but interest has peaked this year with Pokémon celebrating its 30th anniversary. They had received plenty of messages about the release of the Pokémon TCG: First Partner Illustration Collection – Series 3, which were released that day. As a small independent shop, Johnston’s are only allocated a limited number of stock for each Pokémon release and are already looking forward to the next one. The next big date in the Pokémon calendar is Wednesday September 16 when the Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration expansion is released.
