Simon Maher, of The Fieldings, Lydiate, Liverpool, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Monday via video link for sentence. The 53-year-old had previously admitted one offence of speeding, which took place on July 24 last year at Pontybodkin. The court heard Maher already had nine points on his licence; all of which were imposed for speeding matters. He told the court Maher had been employed by Ocado since 2022 as a home delivery driver; a role which sees him travel 350 miles per week over a large geographical area. "If he lost his employment," Mr Ely said, "he has no other income and would inevitably lose his property.
