RAPID CITY, S.D.— Rapid City Area Schools welcomed some new faces to their ranks Monday morning. The annual teacher orientation was held at Rapid City High School. Superintendent Dr. Jamie Jo Thompson welcomed the new teachers and introduced them to her new model for teaching. RCAS CEO & Superintendent Dr. Jamie Jo Thompson says, "Engage, empower, and excel. The first day of school in rapid city and most of the state is August, Monday 24th.
